Lyon to discuss EID penalty moratorium with Agriculture Coordinators

Commenting on calls from the NFU for a moratorium on penalising farmers who breach the sheep identification rules, Liberal Democrat MEP for Scotland George Lyon said:

"I intend to raise this issue with the agriculture coordinators at our meeting on Monday.

"EID continues to be a source of great concern for the industry. I want the moratorium option to be put on the agenda so the Agriculture Committee have the opportunity to discuss it in the very near future."
