Stop Tony Blair becoming President of the European Council

I wish to express my opposition to the nomination of Tony Blair to the Presidency of the European Council. I believe that this important role should not be given to a man who ignored millions of Europeans while taking us into an illegal war in Iraq. Furthermore, I urge all British and EU Governments not to support Mr Blair's nomination as it would be wholly inappropriate for him to occupy such a position before an inquiry has established his role in the formulation of British policy on torture.
